Once upon a time there lived an old fashioned gentleman that dreamed of evenings filled with intellectual conversation with a strong and competent woman while slowly drinking a glass of red wine and listening to Shakespeare on stage. This guy still exists and so does the fairy tale. I wish to share my life with that special woman. We will face the challenges of modern life together and no matter what comes our way, she will know that I will take control, protect her and make her feel safe, secure and cherished. I was raised to be thoughtful, kind, considerate and strong. I was married for a short period of time and learned much about myself and the true meaning of life and love. I have been divorced for over a year because my marriage lacked the necessary direction need to succeed. The "Taken in Hand" web site and mind opening articles has been my lighthouse in a bad storm. The Familiarity breeds contempt article must have been written for me. I see a "Taken in Hand" relationship not as a lifestyle but as a method of maintaining harmony, stability and accountability. My ideal mate would have a great presence about her self, a special kind of energy; she is honest, generous and has high values. I am looking for someone to share my life with, someone who is balanced and who is willing to make time for a relationship. I expect this romance to include a healthy and enjoyable set of mutual interests, an appreciation for sharing a meal together and evening moonlight walks. I am looking for someone who can figure out how to be genuine and of course, the characteristic that most men say they are looking for but regardless of that it is actually fairly important: a good sense of humor. Witty repartee is quite crucial and some sort of quasi-knowledge of world events would be nice. I will have high expectations for you and will work to be a person of character worthy of disciplining you. I am a positive person who attempts every day to change the world. I am smart, compassionate, understanding, loyal, creative and at times playful. I live in the present and try hard to enjoy every moment in my life. I am a fit and tall with light brown hairs and big brown eyes and in my mid thirties. Tampa bay is where I call home but was raised in the Northeast of the United States. I have grown to love the hot humid weather, the long sunny days at the beach and living the relaxing southern lifestyle so please be local or at least be willing to relocate here.
